SetupBoard is under active development. These terms may change as the product develops, and account and billing terms apply only once those features launch. Continuing to use the service means you accept the current version of these terms.

1. Acceptance of these terms

These Terms of Use ("Terms") are an agreement between you and SetupBoard ("SetupBoard", "we", "us") and govern your access to and use of the SetupBoard website, web application, and related services (together, the "Service"). By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. The Service

SetupBoard helps machinists and programmers turn a CAD/CAM export (such as a STEP file) into a clear setup sheet by placing dimensions, datums, notes, and tools on a 3D model and exporting a PDF. Your uploaded geometry is processed locally in your browser and is not transmitted to or stored on our servers unless a feature that clearly requires it (for example, saving projects to your account) is enabled and you choose to use it.

3. Accounts

Some features require an account. You are responsible for the information you provide, for keeping your credentials secure, and for all activity under your account. You must be old enough to form a binding contract in your jurisdiction to create an account. Notify us promptly of any unauthorized use.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

5. Your content

You retain all rights to the files, geometry, dimensions, notes, and other content you create or upload ("Your Content"). You grant us only the limited rights needed to operate and provide the Service to you — for example, to process a file so you can annotate it, or to store a project you choose to save to your account. We do not claim ownership of Your Content, and we will not sell it.

6. Intellectual property

The Service, including its software, design, logos, and branding, is owned by SetupBoard and protected by intellectual-property laws. These Terms do not grant you any right to our trademarks or branding except as needed to use the Service as intended.

7. Subscriptions and billing

SetupBoard offers a Free plan at no cost. When paid plans launch, prices, billing periods, and plan features will be shown at checkout, and payments will be handled by a third-party payment processor (such as Stripe); we do not store full payment card details. Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled, and you can cancel at any time effective at the end of the current billing period. Except where required by law, payments are non-refundable.

8. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. SetupBoard is a documentation aid: you are responsible for verifying every dimension, note, and setup against your own prints, CAM, and good machining practice before running a job. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any output is accurate or fit for a particular purpose.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, SetupBoard will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, data, scrap, machine time, or goodwill, arising out of or related to your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim or USD $50.

10. Changes to the Service and these Terms

We may modify or discontinue parts of the Service, and we may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes we will update the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, provide additional notice. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

11. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Quebec and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules, and you agree to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of the Province of Quebec for any dispute that is not subject to other agreed dispute-resolution terms.
